“We’re all just weird kids in the end†is the mantra pop punk favorites We Are The In Crowd want you to keep on singing – and you definitely will be long after you’ve finished listening to their sophomore album.
With Dan Rose (Daybreaker) and Kevin Geyer (The Story So Far) at the helm, Heavy Head is an enormously impressive debut album of smart, catchy indie rock.
With a sound that calls to mind the likes of The Black Keys, The White Stripes, and Kasabian, Orthodox is one of those records that is meant to be heard live in the middle of a rowdy crowd on a hot Saturday night in some too-cramped club.
Conditions push undeniably forward with Full Of War, providing both a fully energetic and more melodic sound as well as the contemplative lyrics that fans have come to expect.
A frontman breaking out from his band to do a solo album is nothing new, but sometimes a risk. For I Am The Avalanche’s Vinnie Caruana, this move was a long time coming, having played shows with just him and a guitar whenever he seemed to have some downtime. The result is City By The Sea, a 6-track EP filled with gruff vocals and personal lyrics encircled by lush layers of sound.
