When We Were Young Fest was packed with incredible acts this year, both legendary and brand new. However, there was one band that I was most excited to see, hands down. Say Anything has been a staple band in my life since I was 15 years old. I met my now wife when I was a sophomore in High School. Say Anything was one of the first things we bonded over. As two queer kids growing up in the South, their song “A Walk Through Hell” was an unconventional, yet perfect description our our love and perseverance for each other.… Read more »

Indie-rock group, Mom Jeans has surprised us all today by dropping a new album, Bear Market. Technically the songs aren’t new, but the sound and execution is entirely fresh. Bear Market consists of sixteen popular Mom Jeans tracks completely re-imagined and re-worked into beautiful, new versions. The band has even given each track a different name, while still paying tribute to the original title. For example, “Edward 40Hands” is now just “40 hands“, “Death Cup” is now “death by cup“, and “What’s Up?” is now “wassup đ.” We love the clever approach – recognizable but easily differentiated. âWe had all… Read more »
