U2 enter Dublin studio for new album

Irish rockers U2 have hit the studio in Dublin to continue work on their next studio album with longtime collaborators Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois. “We’re going to try and break new sonic ground and deliver a masterpiece,” Lanois told Billboard.com. “The sleeves are rolled up. Bono is all charged up with a lyrical angle.” U2, Eno and Lanois have spent time working on new material on three prior occasions in France and Morocco. “There’s so much material,” he said, referring to speculation that the sessions could yield two new albums. “When you get Eno and I and those guys… Read more »

U2 New Tenants of Dublin High-Rise

Dublin’s docklands redevelopers, who angered U2 by tearing down the group’s hallowed old studios, are giving Bono and his colleagues a high-rise penthouse replacement, the two sides announced Tuesday. “The new Dublin is something I’m really excited about,” Bono told a press conference alongside leaders of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority. Earlier this year the state-backed developers successfully fought U2 in court for the right to tear down a building at Hanover Quay where the band had recorded most of its records since the early 1980s. The building became a place of pilgrimage for U2 devotees, some of whom spray-painted… Read more »

Departing from previous sonics, Bad Omens takes a significantly softer approach to “Impose,” with delicate synths and somber, yearning vocals from Noah Sebastian. “I tried to settle in a life of relevance/But I long to be lost/And I tried to sever it, walked to the precipice/To the sound of applause,” he vulnerably sings. One-Hit Wonder Band Disses YUNGBLUD & Aerosmith’s Ozzy Osbourne Tribute

At the 2025 VMAs this past weekend, YUNGBLUD joined Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt to honor Ozzy Osbourne—The Prince of Darkness—through the thing he loved most: music. Introduced by Ozzy’s son Jack alongside his children, the tribute ripped through “Crazy Train” (complete with the iconic “All aboard!”), Black Sabbath’s “Changes” (the same song YUNGBLUD performed during Ozzy’s final show, Back To The Beginning), and “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”  The performance left the audience—including Ariana Grande—in awe, but not everyone shared the sentiment. The Darkness, best remembered for their fleeting 2003 hit “I Believe In A Thing Called… Read more »

YUNGBLUD, in our totally unbiased opinion, was one of the most iconic performers on the recent September 7 Video Music Awards show. The performer showed up and showed out in his trademark black leather pants and donned a black leather coat as he offered a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. In fact, Jack Osbourne introduced the performance alongside his children. The singer also wore Ozzy’s iconic cross necklace, kissing it before taking center stage. YUNGBLUD kicked off the performance with “Crazy Train,” which even included the iconic “All aboard!” He then elegantly switched modes into Black Sabbath‘s “Changes,” the same piece… Read more »
