This week I have DJ Bowie Jane, I met her through Jess Bowen, and they have a radio show together on Idobi as well called “Babes Behind The Beats” where they interview women in music! Bowie Jane is an artist/DJ and she also recently got on CBS’s Big Brother. She didn’t quite go into detail about it, but this interview is from before she got on the show. She reflects about her life coming from Australia to America and everything else in between as I get to know her better on this weeks episode.
It appears that The 1975 are Still…at their very best. The British rockstars are taking their tour back home across the pond next year to fans in the UK and Europe. Kicking things off in Glasgow on February 8, 2024, and concluding on March 22 in Cologne, Germany, the 26-date run follows their 2023 North American leg of shows. In an announcement made by Lionsgate Films today, September 7, Hollywood horror heartthrob Bill Skarsgård is set to reprise Brandon Lee’s iconic and final role as Eric Draven in ‘The Crow’ remake. The original film was released in May 1994 following Lee’s tragic March 1993 passing due to an accident on set, and the reboot film is currently slated for release in 2024. On September 6, the pop-punk bass guitarist shared a photo on her Instagram with her long-term partner Abby Armstrong who donned a new ring, which seemed to confirm an engagement between the two. The electrifying punk-goes-synthpop project announced that their original tour openers, Cassyette, are no longer able to join them on their North American run. Arizona’s premier emo band The Maine are back with a brand-new music video for their track “thoughts i have while lying in bed.” The song comes from their 8123-released LP and self-titled ninth full album. The music video, directed by Nick Stafford, is simple, but positively stunning. The video featuring lead vocalist John O’Callaghan is shot in black and white on a bridge with a cityscape in the background. The blink-182 guys are back with some potty humor, sharing a website link that leads to “The Stall.” Depicting what appears to be a public restroom decorated with graffiti and the band’s logo, the page reads, “Welcome to the stall, stay tuned for updates.” Fans online assume their favorite three-piece is about to drop some new tunes.
