Green Day fans, get ready! The iconic punk rock trio is gearing up to headline When We Were Young Fest in less than 2 weeks. Set to play both nights of the nostalgic festival, it’s safe to say that Billie, Tre, and Mike have some more surprises up their sleeves.

In an old-school show flyer graphic posted to Instagram, the band teases fans with a scratched-out show date sometime before their appearance at When We Were Young Fest. Although whatever the surprise event is will be located in Las Vegas, Green Day’s followers are unsure of the day, time, or venue where the gig will take place.“Vegas, the odds are in your favor. See you soon,” the caption reads.

This isn’t the first cryptic post that Green Day has shared lately. On October 1, the band posted a quirky video of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong waking up from his September slumber. Hitting “Snooze” on his alarm and looking at the calendar, the date of October 24 is circled in red pen. The clip starts and ends with an audio clip of a distorted electric guitar wailing, reminiscent of the band’s Revolution Radio era. There are a couple of things to note here. First, the zombie-esque character on the calendar matches the graphic on the band’s show flyer. When We Were Young Fest, and Halloween are the only other events marked on it as well, making fans question whether or not a new track could be premiered during their set. These easter eggs are getting fans excited for a new era of Green Day’s career and a new batch of singalongs to change the punk scene once more.

We hope that this video means that a new single (or album) is coming our way soon. Whatever the case, we are looking forward to catching them in Las Vegas at When We Were Young Fest!
