Britney Spears' 'Circus' tour to return to US


Britney Spears’ “Circus” tour is getting an encore. Holly Shakoor, Spears’ publicist, confirms that concerts will be held in several U.S. cities, including New York, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The shows will kick off August 20th in Canada. Concerts are also scheduled for North Carolina, Iowa, Oklahoma and Texas. They will follow Spears’ concerts in London and several other European cities. The 27-year-old singer also announced this week that her tour will go to Australia in November. Spears’ “Circus” tour reached second place in recent box-office gross rankings by Pollstar.

Limp Bizkit to perform first US tour date in eight years


The most historic event in Ultimate Fighting Championship’s 100 Event Weekend just got bigger with the announcement that rap-metal pioneer Limp Bizkit is bringing the only performance in the US of its “Unicorns ‘N Rainbows” tour to Mandalay Bay Beach on Friday, July 10th to perform its first North American concert in eight years. Whitney Houston to release comeback album this fall


Pop diva Whitney Houston will release a new album in September, her first in seven years, Arista Records said. Since her career kicked off in 1985 with her self-titled debut, Houston has sold more than 170 million records, singles and videos around the world. Houston, 45, is one of music’s most decorated female artists with more than 400 awards. Elektra Records returns with Justice, Little Boots


After five years of dormancy, Elektra Records will relaunch with a fresh roster of artists, Atlantic Records announced today in a statement. French dance duo Justice, Gnarls Barkley’s Cee-Lo Green and Little Boots are among the first musicians on the label, which was home to The Doors, The Eagles and Phish in the past. Susan Boyle loses her cool after being taunted


A spokeswoman for Susan Boyle said Thursday that the Britain’s Got Talent finalist lost her cool after being harassed by journalists at a London hotel. The spokeswoman said the golden-voiced and fluffy-haired singer, who became an overnight sensation after appearing on the show, was distressed after being taunted by two reporters at the Wembley Plaza Hotel on Wednesday. “Two journalists were harassing her and pushed her over the edge. Paramore moves beyond "Misery Business"

Linkin Park cooking up genre-busting album


Linkin Park co-frontman Mike Shinoda said the band’s fourth studio album is going to be so unique, “they’re going to have to come up with a new genre name for what this record is.” Shinoda wants to shake things up in the rock world with the follow-up to 2007’s Minutes To Midnight. MySpace, the popular social networking site, in partnership with MySpace Records and Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA, Inc., announced last week the official launch of Rock The Space, an exclusive competition that encourages unsigned bands or solo artists to submit an original song for the opportunity to score a recording contract with MySpace Records, the company’s full-service independent label.
