Even though No Devolucion starts off with the urgency that we have come to know from Thursday over the past 13 years, it is quickly apparent that this album is much different.

After a hectic summer, The Great Valley released its free acoustic EP, Stripped, through AOL Radio Aug. 10. Recently idobi had the chance to ask this literal band of brothers some questions about its new EP, summer activities and future plans.
Almost a year after its formation, Living Like Ghosts has already released its first EP and has a second in the works. idobi recently sat down with the band members to discuss their history, upcoming projects and what makes them tick.
LONDON – A line up such as this is rarely seen in the UK. Brand New, Thrice and Glassjaw are three bands that have never achieved mainstream success, but each has such a following that it only made sense that they would perform at the Wembley Arena.
Ever since it started in 2006, the Bamboozle Left festival has generally been reserved for bands of the “tight pants and swooping bangs” variety. But this year, it looks like they’re doing things a little differently. That’s because none other than 50 Cent – the reigning king of bling, biceps and beef – has been confirmed to headline the second night of the fest, which will take place Apr. 4-5 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California. Other artists on the bill include Fall Out Boy, Thrice, Cobra Starship and The Used. While 50 Cent doesn’t usually run with… Read more »
The Warped Tour, the annual traveling festival that targets the Vans-wearing, emo-loving youth of America, has recently announced the lineup for their 2009 caravan. As usual (and because the event is celebrating its 15th anniversary), the lineup combines older acts like NOFX, Less Than Jake and Bad Religion with newer artists like 3OH!3 and Black Tide. Other notables on the bill include the hard-rocking Gallows, the Ataris, Thrice, Underoath, Bayside and a bunch of other bands that are currently blasting on Hot Topic stereos. At first glance, the bill lacks the big names of past fests, the Paramores and Gym… Read more »

When writing the lyrics for “From Under the Cork Tree,” Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz, far right, shifted his focus from a romance gone horribly wrong to a more introspective vew of the world. After writing an album’s worth of lyrics about a girl who shattered his heart, Pete Wentz realized that the world is a bigger place than a cold-hearted woman and he needed to pen tunes that reflected that – a world where tsunamis could devastate parts of Asia, a war in Iraq could affect people on a global scale and the Molly Ringwald vs. Samantha Fox debate… Read more »

New York – The Offspring is the latest act to sign on for the 2005 Vans Warped Tour next summer. Beyond the California rock act, which is making its first Warped appearance, the 11th annual trek will also feature the Transplants, Thrice, My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy. Dates and venues will be unveiled next month. It is unknown if the Offspring will be touring in support of a new studio album. The group’s most recent was 2003’s “Conspiracy of One,” which debuted at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Warped, which claims to be the longest-running music and… Read more »
