Valerie’s journey started about twenty years ago, when she was diagnosed with debilitating nodules on her vocal cords. Having sung all her life, the idea of not being able to sing again was not an option. She devoted herself to finding out what causes nodules and how to get rid of and prevent them. Along the way, she worked with top laryngologists and speech therapists and found a passion for helping others overcome or prevent similar setbacks. She also prepares actors’ voices for stage, television, and film, including Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water), Tom Ellis (Lucifer), the cast of Nashville (ABC & CMT), and FOX sportscaster Joe Buck. Valerie also has her own podcast, LipRoll, which features conversations with her clients giving us an inside look at the industry.
Alexandra Kay is a breakout country singer songwriter who also happens to have an incredible voice. Her latest single “All The Cowboys” released this year debuted at #1 on the Country iTunes Chart! Alexandra and I talked about her journey as an artist, how she’s cultivated a MILLION followers on TikTok and our mutual love of Dolly Parton. She also shared a few plans for 2021!
