Speaking about You Me At Six in the past tense seems completely unfathomable, but here we are. Following the release of their new record Only God Was Above Us in the spring of 2024, Vampire Weekend headed on the road to play new tracks and indie-rock favorites. On recent tour dates, the act has been using their encore to play much more than their beloved hit, “Walcott.” The artists have been taking cover requests and playing through the verses and choruses they can. While wrapping up their Eras Tour run with Taylor Swift, Paramore received some cool news. According to ChartMasters, the “Hard Times” band ranks as the 20th most-streamed rock act on Spotify. Speaking on the news, Hayley Williams took to Instagram to post a story. She says, “We are one of only two bands that include women in the Top 20 of all time. Of course I’m beyond honoured, but in my lifetime I hope to see more women, more LGBTQ+, and black/brown talent on this list. On July 14, Creeper played a massive headline show at Portsmouth Guildhall with support from Zetra and The Nightmares. The band played a whopping 20-song set including “Cyanide” and “Cry To Heaven” as well as a special cover of The Killers‘ “Mr. Brightside.” Of course, the crowd was immediately into the rendition of the iconic alternative track.
