This week I have singer Nicolette Vilar from the band Go Betty Go, they’re starting to play shows again and I talk to her about how she got her start in music and where her career has taken her. We also realized we’ve been on tour together before but didn’t know it and didn’t know each other, we met through mutual friends and I wanted to get her story.

Josh Cohen did something many of us are intimidated by; he left a successful career for his passion. At 33, Josh said goodbye to a job in sales to pursue a career working in the music industry. He took an unpaid internship to get his foot in the door and got the ball rolling. In this episode, Josh will explain how he made a career transition at a time in his life when most settle for what’s convenient. I hope you feel inspired by his tenacity and enjoy getting to know Josh.
This week is all about books! My guest (and friend) Elizabeth Lazowski is an assistant editor at Chronicle Books and is committed to helping all children find themselves in the stories they read. Elizabeth shares how she got her start in such a beloved industry, how she didn’t take to reading like her peers as a child, and the book that eventually made her fall in love with reading. This episode is full of great advice for anyone considering the publishing world or who just loves to read.
