The 2019 Emmys were a bit lackluster in design, without a host and accompanied by the weird theme of “The Masked Singer” the show was a little off. What was completely on were the awards given to the diverse talent we are finally starting to see in Hollywood. Billy Porter is the first openly gay black man to receive the award for Lead Actor in a Drama Series.
