The Rockstar Dad Show is inviting a rockstar family to the air this week! Listen in as Rick, Miles, and Daxx Nielsen join Jaret and Gary for a conversation.
As the lead guitarist of Cheap Trick, Rick Nielsen has lived an interesting life and his sons have followed in his footsteps with their own careers in music. Daxx is a drummer who’s played with many bands over the years, including with Cheap Trick. Miles is the frontman of a band called Mike Nielsen and The Rusted Hearts (more on that in a bit).
When the group calls in they look back at their history both personal and professional, from stories about Guns n’ Roses to family dynamics while touring. They also chat about The Nielsen Trust, quarantining with kids, being versatile with your music and more. Tune in and make sure you stick around until the end to hear “Hands Up” by Miles’s band!
It’s only going to take a single listen for every song to implant itself in your head, but Girlfriends has the kind of lasting value you’ll want to have as a permanent part of your music collection.
You’ve been waiting for it… and it’s finally here! Season 33 of Man Of The Hour kicks off with a bang as the guys focus on positivity (well, unless there’s premature Christmas decorating involved.)
In a 2020 world, Pat + Seb just want to put a smile on our faces and they do a great job with the first episode of the season. Tune in as they talk Seb “The Toolman” Lefebvre, family movie night, a 5k fundraiser and more!
Souvenirs is back with an all-new album, Love For The Lack Of It, out this Friday, October 23! This week I caught up with frontman Tim Riley to share how the album took shape and the lessons learned in the process. It was a blast to connect with him and hear his passion for the new 10-track album. Enjoy and share this episode with a friend.
Please don’t be shy, email me! [email protected] with any advice questions or topics. If you like the show, please rate, subscribe & share with a friend.
Talk soon!

NorCal band Down Again joins WW to talk the songwriting process and what it’s like to be in a band during a global pandemic.
This week I have Skyler from SuperWhatevr, we met when his band first opened for my band in San Diego. We ended up going on tour together the following year, and he’s just an all around rad guy and I wanted to share his story with you!
Our Rioters get into some of the new TV they’re excited about, serving up some love for The Great British Baking Show, breaking down all the new femme-tastic trailers, and getting deep with Unsolved Mysteries.
Author and writer Mike Henneberger joins WW to talk his new book and finding your way.
The Rockstar Dad Show is back for another hour of entertainment—and this time they’re bringing guest Clinton Sparks along for the whole ride.
Clinton is truly a man who wears many hats, as an entrepreneur, DJ, author, and… well, the list goes on. He’s lived a big life with ups and downs along the way, and he chats with Jaret and Gary about everything from his UPS job to making a start in the music industry.
On top of sharing some information about his upcoming EP Ninety3 and his book How To Win Big In The Music Industry, Clinton talks “dad resumes”, keeping your kids safe in a digital age, and more. You won’t want to miss this conversation, listen in now!
Devin Guisande, donning the mantle of Kyd the Band, is a smart man. He understands the benefit of being clear and distinct in your message.
