DETROIT, Mich. – Fans were full of energy on Saturday as Dallas Green, also known as City & Colour, performed to a sold out crowd at the Detroit Fillmore. Through the diverse set list, Green also announced that he has been writing new material, and hopes to release a record this year.

On the eve of their 30th anniversary full-length album, Vows, which is slated to arrive tonight at midnight, Hot Water Music has unleashed their out-of-this-world, 1980s-inspired new single and accompanying video for “After The Impossible,” featuring City And Colour. “When we started trying to figure out the concept for this video, the one thing we wanted to avoid was ‘man misses woman/woman misses man,’” the band shares of the accompanying music video. “That’s been done enough, right? City And Colour, the moniker of Canadian singer-songwriter Dallas Green‘s solo project, has announced his eagerly anticipated US tour in support of his recent full-length album The Love Still Held Me Near, which arrived earlier this year. The tour will kick off on Aug. 29 in Denver, CO, and run through the remainder of the summer wrapping on Sept. 20 in Atlanta, GA. The album stays true to Alexisonfire’s signature post-hardcore sound; battling vocal styles between Dallas Green’s sweeping melodies and George Pettit’s frenetic screamo. The Ontario born group came to New York City’s South Street seaport for a rooftop show at Pier 17 on Saturday, July 23rd.
