Photos: Iceage in NYC

Danish post-punks Iceage made their way to NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on Thursday, March 10th for their second of two sold-out shows on Delancey Street. The band has been on regular tour ever since last May when they released their fifth LP, and first on Mexican Summer Records, Seek Shelter. Lead singles “The Holding Hand” as well as “Vendetta” both featured on the 15-song setlist.

Earlier this month, Iceage released a one-off cover of “Pull Up,” a highlight of up and coming Atlanta R&B singer Abra’s last EP Princess. The original song is somewhat of a gothic take on traditional R&B and Iceage’s punk-laced vocal delivery and added piano chords flipped the song into a truly unique piece of the band’s catalog. The current tour is nearing the end, with a couple more US shows before closing the run with a few shows in Denmark and the UK later this month.
