UK-based rockers Acres have returned with their new single, “Deadweight.” And that’s not all, the act announced that the track is part of their forthcoming EP, What It’s Like To Feel Worthless. The five-track collection is set to arrive on October 25 via Solid State Records. It boasts previously released singles “A Different Shade Of Misery,” “Lost,” and “Deadweight.”

Acres vocalist Ben Lumber shares of their new single, “When writing ‘Deadweight,’ we were really conscious keeping all the elements of what we’re known for but also welcoming in the new sound. It’s cathartic and anthemic.”

He adds, “Lyrically, it’s almost like a conversation between two people expressing how they feel about each other, and coming to terms with how they feel. It’s the first time I’ve written this way.”

Speaking on What It’s Like to Feel Worthless, Lumber shares, “This EP is us trying new things and trying to express ourselves in a new way. We will forever try and change things up with every release but also keeping what our fans like about our band.”
