States stream their new album Paradigm


The kind folks over at Purevolume are streaming the fantastic new record from States,  Paradigm,  here. For those not familiar, States are composed of members from Lydia (Mindy White) and members from Copeland (Jonathan Bucklew, Stephen Laurenson, Brian Laurenson, and Dean Lorenz).  Paradigm  is their second record, their first being  Room to Run, and it was recorded in both Nashville and North Carolina and was entirely self-produced. Britney Spears' 'Circus' tour to return to US


Britney Spears’ “Circus” tour is getting an encore. Holly Shakoor, Spears’ publicist, confirms that concerts will be held in several U.S. cities, including New York, Philadelphia, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The shows will kick off August 20th in Canada. Concerts are also scheduled for North Carolina, Iowa, Oklahoma and Texas. They will follow Spears’ concerts in London and several other European cities. The 27-year-old singer also announced this week that her tour will go to Australia in November. Spears’ “Circus” tour reached second place in recent box-office gross rankings by Pollstar.

Judges Scheme to Jail Youths for Profit


At worst, Hillary Transue thought she might get a stern lecture when she appeared before a judge for building a spoof MySpace page mocking the assistant principal at her high school in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. She was a stellar student who had never been in trouble, and the page stated clearly at the bottom that it was just a joke. Instead, the judge sentenced her to three months at a juvenile detention center on a charge of harassment.
