Ozzfest Lineup, Itinerary Announced


The annual three-ring circus that is Ozzfest has become a perennial summer celebration of all things loud and abrasive over the last decade – and this summer’s lineup will not disappoint. Black Sabbath and British metal stalwarts Iron Maiden – who will be playing material exclusively from their first four albums – will share headlining duties, and they’ll be joined for the 26-city ride by Rob Zombie and a host of young metal bands, starting on July 15. Well, last year we bid a sad and final farewell to Molson Park in Barrie, a favourite summer concert/festival venue in Ontario for the past 20 years and the host of many past Edgefests. Eagles Confirm 31-Date Summer Tour


As first reported here last week, the Eagles will kick off their first North American tour in seven years May 31 in Reno, Nev. The 31-date trek will wrap July 20 in Biloxi, Miss., and comes as the group is working on its first studio album of all new material since 1979’s “The Long Run.” Pre-sale tickets for the Reno, El Paso, Texas, Portland, Ore.,and Moline, Ill., shows go on sale Thursday (April 18) through Yahoo!, and will be available Monday through Ticketmaster.
