“I don’t know where you begin but it’s where I wanna end” Is there anything better than a beloved band returning after years away and delivering a no-skip album? I don’t think so—and apparently, Beach Weather agrees. Formed in 2015 and releasing two (excellent) EPs before going on hiatus in 2017, Beach Weather—Nick Santino, Reeve Powers, and Sean Silverman—re-emerged in late 2021 and now they’re officially back with their debut full-length, Pineapple Sunrise. Before we get any further, I have to confess that I’ve been a Nick Santino stan (a Stantino, if you will) since I started listening to his… Read more »

If you were at The 1975’s show in Manchester, we’re jealous of you. Beyond the obvious reason, the band performed their debut album. Fans in attendance had no idea it was coming and if we were there, we would have felt all the emotions. This was a more intimate show than we’ve seen from the band while they’ve been on tour in support of their new album, Being Funny in a Foreign Language. Fans got to feel up close and personal, all while listening to the songs that made them fall in love with the band in the first place.… Read more »
“You can be king of everything, because I’m busy being the queen of me” Us pop-punk kids have top-tier taste in music. Everything from blink-182 to Simple Plan to Paramore. We love the music that cuts deep and makes you want to get up and smash into things. We have to admit, sometimes that love for the pop side of the genre takes over. Maybe it even bleeds into a bit of country-pop. We know we have our Swifties out there in the scene. However, long before Taylor—there was Shania and, man, do we love her (just ask our very… Read more »
Music festival season is just on the horizon and, while we wait for the gloomy weather to pass, we can revel in the flood of music news typical of this time of year. A majority of the music festival lineups are announced in January and the festival posters set the landscape for the year in live music, foreshadowing larger tours from bands, new album cycles, and even resurgences of genres and legacy bands that might be past their peak of popularity. Pop-punk is fresh off a massive re-emergence, showcased by the success of the When We Were Young Festival in… Read more »
