Fish got to chat with Tony Lovato, lead singer of Mest. Lovato expanded on the history of the band, how the music industry has changed over the past few years, and the new music Mest has on the horizon.

He also revealed that the band’s new album will feature eleven songs and that the first ten songs are in the final stages of being mixed. Mest will be tonight’s studio guest on DJ Rossstar’s Punk Show at 7 p.m. PT (10 p.m. ET). The singer with defunct punk rock band Mest was jailed on suspicion of murder in Los Angeles Sunday after police said he confessed to stabbing his ex-girlfriend’s new lover. Tony Lovato, 26, was held on $1 million bail after telling police that he was assaulted earlier in the day by Wayne Hughes, 25, in the underground parking lot of an apartment building in the suburb of Studio City. “At some point, Mr. Lovato produced a knife and the victim was stabbed,” said Lt. Two bands have been comrades ever since Madden brothers became fans of Mest’s 2000 major-label debut. In the clip for “Jaded (These Years),” Mest reminisce about what life was like viewed through innocent eyes.
