Interview: Aaron Bedard of Bane


Not many hardcore bands, let alone any band, can say they’ve been around for nearly 20 years with no hiatus, but Bane can. This year the band will be releasing their final album Don’t Wait Up, on Equal Vision Records and plan to make 2015 their last year as a band. idobi writer Alexa Gallo sat down with singer Aaron Bedard at Today’s Mixtape Festival to talk the band’s legacy, upcoming album, and the changes that have occurred in the hardcore community over the years.

Breathe Carolina to headline Scream It Like You Mean It tour


After a hugely successful launch in 2010, The 2011 Scream It Like You Mean It Tour returns to the US on July 15. Anthony Raneri (Bayside) Announces Solo EP ‘Everyday Royalty,’ Drops “Bones”


Known mostly for his work in Bayside, Anthony Raneri has many talents when it comes to music. Alongside the release of his latest single, “Bones,” featuring Sam Tinnesz, Raneri announced the release date for his upcoming alt-country EP Everyday Royalty.  Speaking about the upcoming record, Raneri says that making the EP allowed him to remember what it was like when he first started making music. “Most of this record came from getting into a room with friends and working on songs for fun, then walking out with a lot of cool material without really even planning on it,” he says.… Read more »

Armor For Sleep Are “In Another Dream” On New Single


Armor For Sleep is making a grand return to the scene with their first new music since 2022’s The Rain Museum. “In Another Dream,” out via Equal Vision Records, is an upbeat pop-punk track infused with somber, relatable lyrics about loss and grief. Common Sage Taps Thursday Musicians For Track, “Edin”


New York City’s post-hardcore quartet Common Sage is having a massive year. After recently signing to Equal Vision Records, the act teamed up Thursday vocalist Geoff Rickly and guitarist Steve Pedulla to craft the urgent punk-tinged “Edin” and its accompanying black and white music video.
