My Chemical Romance’s tour in support of its 2006 album “The Black Parade” forms the basis of “The Black Parade Is Dead!,” a CD/DVD package due June 24. The project was filmed October 7, 2007, at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes, and October 24, 2007, at the tiny Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey. The CD portion of the Warner Bros. release sports 13 tracks, a track list it shares with disc one of the DVD, taped in Mexico City. The second DVD disc boasts 18 songs from the Hoboken show. UNIVERSAL CITY, California – My Chemical Romance have already given the new year a new name: “Tour thousand and seven.” After spending much of 2006 recording the ambitious concept album The Black Parade, MCR are dedicating the upcoming year to the road. “We’re going to try to bring the music on the record to life with a really good live show,” frontman Gerard Way said. “Something special, something big.” The singer actually predicted they’d be touring “for the next two years.” The band will get started January 19 in New Zealand before launching a North American headlining trek that kicks… Read more »
As he wraps up his current tour, Knox is showcasing his brand-new single, “Change Your Mind,” via Atlantic Records. Excitingly, some lucky concert attendees got to hear the song live well ahead of its official release. The brilliantly bright breakup song is sonically euphoric. Lana Del Rey, aka the 2023 VMAs winner in the category of Best Alternative for “Candy Necklace,” has gone viral this year, but not for her music. Fans were utterly stunned to see the Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd singer seemingly picking up a shift at Waffle House.
