Britney Spears kicked off the 2001 Billboard Awards in Las Vegas on Tuesday with a very wet performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U” on a stage inside the fountains of the Bellagio Hotel. Britney Spears has signed on to play herself in a small role in “Austin Powers in Goldmember,” which will star Destiny’s Child singer Beyoncé Knowles as Foxy Cleopatra and Mike Myers as the titular International Man of Mystery. Legendary producer, composer and industry mogul Quincy Jones will also play himself in the movie, which is scheduled to hit theaters July 26, according to New Line Cinema. The London singer-songwriter co-penned the song, “I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman,” with behind-the-scenes teen-pop kings Max Martin and Rami.
