This week I have long time friend and drummer Chris Kamrada from the band Dashboard Confessional, I first was introduced to him by JR from Less Than Jake when JR was managing Kamrada’s band “There For Tomorrow.” Chris and I then for many years would be up for a lot of the same drumming gigs and would tour along side each other, we got to know each other on the road but I brought him on to get the story of how he got to where he is today.
Matchbox Twenty released their brand new album, Where The Light Goes this past Friday, May 26th via Atlantic Records. This is the fifth studio album by the group, and their first effort in over ten years. The band’s last release was North in 2012 but if you grew up in the early 2000’s, Matchbox Twenty owned radio play. With extremely successful tunes like “3AM“, “Unwell“, “Push” and “How Far We’ve Come“, the group is definitely a household name. Dashboard Confessional is keeping the momentum going and heading out on another tour. This time with Counting Crows. The tour will kick on June 17th in Indianapolis and will continue until September 25th in Morrison, Colorado.
