Freddie Say 'Relax': Limp Bizkit Remake Frankie Goes To Hollywood

Freddie’s already gone to Hollywood – now he’s taking his band to the Pleasuredome. Limp Bizkit have recorded a version of Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s sexually charged 1984 hit “Relax” for the Ben Stiller film “Zoolander.” “It is the bomb, it is so dope,” said electronic artist/producer BT, who is scoring the movie, of the track last week. “It’s not really a cover – you’ll know what I mean when you hear it…. It’s sorta like if a band did a remix.” The original “Relax,” known for its “Relax, don’t do it” refrain, appeared on the dance group’s Welcome to… Read more »

BT And ‘NSync: Pop Goes The Producer

Former American trance golden boy BT (Brian Transeau) and ‘NSync may seem like odd bedfellows but according to BT, it was all very natural for the two seemingly divergent acts to work together on “Pop,” the first track on ‘NSync’s most recent album, Celebrity (Jive). In fact the love fest was so mutual between the teensters and the Los Angeles based dance producer that BT is now working with Justin Timberlake’s girlfriend, Britney Spears, to help produce her new album – better watch out Justin, BT’s a charmer. If you’ve heard BT’s version of “Pop” you know it sounds a… Read more »

MTV Movie Awards: The Stars Know

The MTV Movie Awards are raunchy and irreverent, and while they have a reputation for being outrageous, they’re also quite canned. When Tom Cruise’s publicist was spotted nervously pacing outside the Shrine Auditorium, gossip fans knew the 2001 Movie Awards would be rich with fodder. It was more than an hour into the show, and the star still hadn’t appeared.   When Cruise finally showed up in a chauffeur-driven SUV, he was dateless and slumped in the passenger seat, looking glum and listless. When he got out, his publicist Pat Kingsley gave him a long, affectionate hug. “How are you,… Read more »
