Twenty One Pilots’ “Saturday” Now Certified Gold In US

Twenty One Pilots announced at the end of 2022 that their Scaled and Icy era had come to an end. Kicking off early in May of 2021, the album cycle saw Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun stretching their creative muscles into new pop-centric waters. An array of colorful songs that still managed to be as cathartic as anything else from their discography, it was a roaring success in a career full of roaring successes.

And the accolades keep on rolling in for the band. One of the record’s singles, “Saturday” has reached certification level in the US, according to RIAA. The song is now Gold, which is the equivalent of 500,000 sales. A huge number. It’s the band’s second track from Scaled and Icy that has hit Gold, that being “Shy Away”. It’s an incredible achievement for a band that continues to break records and push boundaries with their music in the alternative space. Long may that continue.
