Leading up to the highly anticipated release, The Word Alive’s Telle Smith stopped by the idobi Studios to delve into the intricacies of the collaboration with Loveless, the profound shift that led the storied group to a literal hard reset, the group’s approach to working with a diverse group of producers across the new 13-track collection, and more.
Of their collaboration with Loveless, Smith shares, “It was even better than I could’ve hoped. [Julian’s] part is so crazy and he just added so much flavor and spice to the song. It’s exactly what I hoped but then multiplied. And I feel like that’s pretty much what every feature on the record did…They did exactly what I would hope they would do, which is to be themselves. Their authentic selves, and their artistic selves. But, him in particular too, he went to town on his part.”
