The Linda Lindas Share Dynamic Cover Of “Little Bit ‘O Soul”

The Linda Lindas 2023

We love it when punk bands put their own original spin on classic songs. The Linda Lindas are no exception, giving us a fresh take on a ‘60s classic with their cover of “Little Bit O’ Soul” by The Music Explosion. Released today via Epitaph Records, the guitar-driven arrangement is on the soundtrack for the new Amazon Prime film, ‘Totally Killer.’

From the first riff, The Linda Lindas’ cover is as evocative and explosive as your favorite Joan Jett song. The simple arrangement of electric guitars, bass, drums, and filtered vocals make the track infectiously catchy and danceable. Plus, the cover is much faster than the original, giving the band’s rendition a much-needed attitude adjustment. This is a spunky addition to the horror-comedy movie ‘Totally Killer,’ which follows a teenage girl and her mother on a journey to take down a Halloween murderer. It is campy, fun, and spooky all at the same time!

The Linda Lindas have stayed busy this year. From opening for Paramore on their This Is Why Tour to making appearances at Lollapalooza and Boston Calling, the powerhouse girl gang shows no signs of slowing down. This fall, they are hitting the road again as the opening act for the illuminati hotties, as well as a special performance with Thundercat at the iconic Red Rocks Ampitheatre. If you’re on the West Coast or Pacific Northwest, be sure to catch their empowering set live and in person.
