Joan Jett has covered the Beatles song “The Word” as part of a charity drive to support breast cancer awareness. Jett’s recording is a bonus track on It’s All About Eve (Music For The Cure), a project organized by Fore Reel Entertainment and slated for release on June 13, with 100 percent of the proceeds slated to go to the T.J. Martell Foundation and the Libby Ross Foundation. On January 30, many streaming services streamed a very special FireAid LA Benefit Concert with a star-studded lineup to raise money to rebuild communities devastated by the wildfires. Broadcast from both the Kia Forum and the Intuit Dome, performers included the likes of Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish all the way to Green Day, No Doubt, and a surprise Nirvana tribute.
