Sad Summer Fest is back! The pop-punk traveling tour will kick off this summer to celebrate its fifth anniversary. Fans can register for pre-sale on Friday, March 1, with tickets going on sale to the public the following week on Friday, March 8.

Scene staples Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Wonder Years, We The Kings, Daisy Grenade, and more will roam around the U.S., bringing their pop-punk goodness to the stage. The Summer Set, Diva Bleach, Hot Milk, and Like Roses will also join the lineup on select dates.

Alex Garcia of Mayday Parade says that this festival, in particular, emphasized the true summer music festival experience. “For most of my adult life, I’ve associated the summer with music festivals; their open-air venues, the mix of tour bus exhaust and heat radiating off asphalt, and, of course, hearing my favorite music at twilight, lit by the flicker of fireflies—Sad Summer epitomizes this experience. It also serves as a unifying force in our music scene, a place for every emo kid to gather around, connect with fellow fans, and truly be themselves. With this in mind, it is a deep honor to close Sad Summer; the music we’ve poured our hearts and souls into becoming an indelible part of those warm summer nights, where friends and memories are made.”

With the festival looking to channel the original essence of Warped Tour, they continue to partner with different charities and organizations. HeadCount, Reverb, and Calling All Crows will appear on-site. They’ll provide resources for attendees about their missions to spread awareness in the music ecosystem. All these decisions made by the co-founders, Mike Marquis, Josh Terry, and Tim Kirch, generate an inclusive atmosphere that still stays in the emo kid lane.
