Following the release of their remix of “Hey There Delilah,” Plain White T’s have officially shared their studio session music video for “Surface Pressure.” The band’s cover of the famous Encanto track appears on Disney‘s A Whole New Sound compilation album, which dropped on September 6.
The well-received tracklist of pop-punk covers includes Simple Plan‘s reworking of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King, Magnolia Park‘s cover of “I2I” from A Goofy Movie, New Found Glory‘s rendition of “Part Of Your World” from The Little Mermaid, and many more.
Plain White T’s lead vocalist Tom Higgenson shared, “So stoked and honored to be a part of Disney’s A Whole New Sound album! I remember when I watched Encanto years ago, ‘Surface Pressure’ came on and I was like, ‘Whoa what a great song!’ So to be able to cover it and put our own spin on it was so much fun, and I’m so proud of the way it turned out.”
