NOT A TOY may have just released their debut LP PRBLMS earlier this year, but they have a little surprise in store for fans who want more. Today, the alt-pop/R&B quartet shared a new single and accompanying music video for hyperpop-infused track “simp” via Fearless Records.

The music video showcases “A Night In New York,” and follows a dancing lead vocalist Branson Hoog throughout the city as he meets up with his fellow bandmates along the way. Check out the undeniably catchy, bouncy love song below.

The group shares that this song’s release was a basically a surprise for them, too. “We started playing ‘simp’ live while on tour with Beauty School Dropout and the feedback from the crowd every night has been so insane we decided to drop it ASAP,” they say.

NOT A TOY note that it’s “such a dance-y record, we have so much fun playing it live, and hope people have just as much fun playing it at home now. It definitely transports us to a party right when we turn it on. And luckily, we’re going to be able to make a party out of the release day since we’ll be in L.A. at the Troubadour right after it drops.”
