Telltale Share Explosive New Single ‘Otherside’

[Telltale by: Chris Warren]

Telltale have returned today with a riveting new track, “Otherside.” A powerful and dynamic effort from an already compelling group of songwriters and instrumentalists, “Otherside” is a step in a new direction for Telltale. They have always been in a band that captivates their audience in all facets. From their ability to create songs that resonate with the masses, to their impactful live performances, to their sincere and vulnerable presentation in the world, this act is gearing up for their best chapter yet.

Throughout my early twenties, I found myself chasing some sort of ‘otherside’ in whatever vice would get me the furthest from reality. It’s easy to treat the fragility of life as a joke until death comes knocking. Like standing at the edge of a pier ready to jump into the infinite void, it doesn’t click until you hit the water,” vocalist John Carteret shares on the song.

“Otherside” marks the bands first release since their 2022 EP Lie Your Way Out. The EP was an important release for the band. It seemingly building a necessary bridge between their debut effort, Timeless Youth, and the direction they are embarking on now.

Telltale began as a pop-punk act flirting with aggression, and gradually grew into something much more consequential. The change occurred with a beautifully natural progression, allowing the band to explore themselves along the way. They’ve never had a lackluster song in their catalogue, but the new material expands on their talent in a way that feels like an explosion of self-realization. It is clear that Telltale is hitting their stride in an exciting fashion. It is profound, inspiring and frankly badass.

Telltale is going to hit great heights in 2024, and “Otherside” is just the beginning. Immerse yourself in the visual for this song, as it only heightens the experience.
