Meet Me @ The Altar Announce Deluxe Edition Of Debut Album

Last year Meet Me @ The Altar released their highly-anticipated and extremely successful debut album, Past // Present // Future. Today, the trio have announced a deluxe issue dropping on September 29th via Fueled By Ramen. Kicking off this reissue of the album, they have gifted fans with a brand new single, “Give It Up“. Maybe too early to say, but this new song might just be the best song they have ever released. The verses hold an incredibly catchy melody, while the structure of the song packs a punch. It really feels like the Meet Me @ The Altar have found their groove. We have also heard that the deluxe will include a cover of “Take Me Away” from the Freaky Friday soundtrack. So cool!

Speaking on the deluxe edition and new track, the band shared: “Give It Up is a song about frustration. It’s about feeling lost, confused, and indecisive about which way to go. A big takeaway from this song is that sometimes you need help figuring it out. Even though we love this song so much, we didn’t think it fit sonically with the initial tracklist of Past // Present // Future. We wanted the deluxe release to be a glimpse into another side of us, giving you a sound that’s fresh, new and different.”

The band is on tour throughout the rest of the year, including a support slot on the upcoming 5 Seconds of Summer headliner. Grab your tickets here!
