Mayday Parade Releases New Single “Pretty Good To Feel Something”

As if the summer wasn’t hot enough, Mayday Parade and more of your favorites are turning up the heat as they kick off Sad Summer Fest today, July 11. The fifth annual festival will be touring nearly 20 cities across America in July and August. Mayday Parade and The Maine are set to headline, joined by The Wonder Years, We The Kings, Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, and more.

With the tour comes Mayday Parade’s new single “Pretty Good To Feel Something.” A feel-good song with that instantly identifiable sense of bittersweet nostalgia Mayday Parade does so well. The accompanying lyric video features the band in a colorful tunnel, jamming to their music. The song feels straightforward in a way that songs haven’t in at least a couple of decades. It’s not deeply subtextual or trying to impress you. It’s simply calling out the joy in being alive and able to feel something, anything, because it means you’re alive.
