Maggie Lindemann has just announced that her second EP, HEADSPLIT, will arrive out on March 8. Fans can begin pre-saving the record on Spotify and Apple Music here. Plus, listeners can pre-order the eight-track EP on iTunes and in her store on vinyl beginning today, as well.

In classic Lindemann fashion, the artist draws inspiration from iconic horror films. In this case, the HEADSPLIT cover cheekily nods to the grotesque “Reverse Bear Trap” seen in the first Saw movie. Our fingers are crossed that the EP contains several scary movie Easter eggs.

The upcoming release boasts three stunning features, including Siiickbrain on “deprecating,” Alexis Munroe on “24,” and Jasiah on “Taking Over Me.” This feature lineup is truly dazzling.

Already, we’ve gotten a taste of the collection to come, as Lindemann released “deprecating” in October, and most-recently revealed the dark Rapunzel-inspired “hostage.”

She shared of the yearning track that it “is like peering through a window into my own mind. Itā€™s about being caught in this strange limbo where everything around me, externally, is going well, but inside, thereā€™s a relentless storm.ā€

She continues, ā€œThe song is a cry for that person who can calm the turmoil inside me, a plea for solace amidst my own mental chaos. Itā€™s raw and realā€”itā€™s a journey so many of us silently go through.ā€ Check out the full music video below and grab your pre-orders for HEADSPLIT here.
