Girl goes to the rock show to see a band. Boy on stage looks out into the crowd and sees the girl in the front row. They go on a date and fall in love. It’s every fan fiction story that every fangirl dreams of and that’s what happened to Kid Prexy.

I Think You’re Pretty” is the newest single from the pop-punk alternative artist that blends the nostalgic sounds of early 2000s music that everyone blasted during their summer drives with the modern emo twist that’s taken us all by storm. The track itself is a head-bopping anthem that was written about Kid Prexy’s partner, a romance that started at one of his shows.

“I wrote ‘I Think That You’re Pretty‘ about falling in love at first sight and how you can’t stop thinking about them,” Kid Prexy shares exclusively with idobi Radio. “I experienced that when I saw my now girlfriend in the front row of my concert last year. The next day I flew to LA and recorded it with [Kevin] Thrasher. It is one of my favorite songs that I’ve written and I hope people like it too.”

In the official video caption, he further elaborates, “I wrote this pop punk song to express the feeling you get when you see someone that you’re instantly attracted to and can’t stop thinking about them.” The accompanying video is an MTV-era-inspired visual crafted by Kid Lennon and animated by Rob Fidel, who’s previously worked with Green Day.

Love at first guitar strum is what everyone wants, of course. And the 16-year-old artist knows how to rev up an audience, too. He previously opened for The Kid Laroi, and his song “In My Head” was featured on SiriusXM’s Hitsbound 1 channel. Kevin Thrasher, who’s worked with Machine Gun Kelly, blink-182, and Jaden Hossler, produced his latest release.
