Heart Of A Coward have been part of the backbone of the UK heavy scene for over a decade now. Shapeshifting with the times and always being one step ahead of the pack, they continue to create devastatingly vital and wholly crushing music for the modern metal fan. And as 2023 winds on, they have announced the latest addition to their bludgeoning discography.
That’s This Place Only Brings Death, which will release on September 22 via Arising Empire. It is set to be a gripping and garish look at life as we know it, as vocalist Kaan Tasan describes:
“This Place Only Brings Death is a self-reflective, heavy, and aggressive album that explores the harsh realities of modern society.”

And to celebrate the announcement, Heart Of A Coward have also shared a new track to whet the appetite. That’s “Devour me“, and is a bludgeoning and bold piece of metalcore intensity. With blipping electronics, grand atmospheres and plenty of forward-thinking sentiment, it’s a big one, to say the least.
Kaan had this to say add about it:
“‘Devour Me’ is written about tearing into open wounds to try and find answers, but only ending up exactly where you were before. The familiar feeling of being torn apart, getting nowhere and then being discarded.”
And if that wasn’t enough, you can also check out the previously released “Decay” right here:
