We all know that Ohio is for lovers, but Hawthorne Heights has set out to prove that it’s not just Ohio. After three editions of the festival hitting emo fans hard in 2022, Hawthorne Heights is bringing the “Is For Lovers Festival” to eight cities in 2023. This year’s event will visit Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, NV; Denver, CO; Manteo, NC; Council Bluffs, IA; Cincinnati, OH; Pelham, TN; and Mansfield, MA.
Similarly to their 2022 festival stops, the lineups will vary by date and include the likes of Thrice, Silverstein, Thursday, Saosin, and more. Tickets for the events are currently on sale here.

In a press release, Hawthorne Heights’ vocalist and “Is For Lovers Festival” co-curator, JT Woodruff, shared, “In year one, we got to go to a few of our favorite cities, with bands that are our friends, and some bands that we simply love. We want to give fans an inclusionary place to go that features a wide variety of bands from all walks of life, and we want to do it with a smile on our faces, because we have chosen to work with people who we love and respect. The most important part for us is to make sure that the fan experience is equal to the band experience. We just want everyone to have fun, and have an easy day together.”
