If you’re excited about the upcoming Green Day tour and Saviors album, the year 2024 is about to be so much sweeter. Today, the band announced they will be playing both Dookie and American Idiot in full on The Saviors Tour. The Smashing Pumpkins, Rancid, The Linda Lindas, Nothing But Thieves, The Hives, and more, will be joining the trio on this historic run.
This means that fans and concertgoers will get to hear older non-singles such as “Pulling Teeth” and will have the chance to hear the nine-minute “Homecoming” live. Of course, our fingers are crossed that new Saviors songs such as “One Eyed Bastard” and “Dilemma” will make the set, too.
On top of sharing the big setlist news, Green Day is also making social media waves, as Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool performed a now-viral show in a NYC subway station yesterday, January 16. The band arrived on the platform alongside The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon fully in hat and sunglasses disguises. They began playing their secret set with “Feel Like Makin’ Love” by Bad Company. They then revealed their true faces and dove right into “Basket Case.”
They also played “Look Ma, No Brains!,” “Dilemma,” “Rock and Roll All Nite” by KISS, and “American Idiot.” A subway fare for a surprise Green Day concert? Honestly, that’s the best deal out there!
Green Day is set to release their brand new album, Saviors, on January 19. They head out on their headlining tour to follow. Check out the full list of dates below!
