“Bring Me To Life” has officially cracked into the Spotify Billions Club. The iconic track from Evanescence off of their debut album, Fallen, is still a standout for new and seasoned fans 20 years after its initial release. In 2023, the band celebrated their two-decade milestone with a deluxe vinyl and CD reissue.
Demos from their popular tracks were included on the re-release, including a 2002 version of “Bring Me To Life.” This version doesn’t include the male vocalist feature from Paul McCoy of 12 Stones, as it does on the radio release and final album single. It’s more industrial and darkwave in the introduction and throughout the entirety of the song. Frontwoman Amy Lee’s voice is also strong but softer in execution compared to the mainstream rendering.

Last year, during their performance at Rock am Ring, the gothic rockers brought out Papa Roach’s Jacoby Shaddix to perform the popular track on stage with them. Evanescence hasn’t released many show dates since then but has a handful announced for the summer.
Evanescence entering the Spotify Billions Club isn’t the only platform they’ve garnered this kind of recognition as their music video for “Bring Me To Life” reached one billion watches last year on YouTube. At the time of this publication, the official video boasts 1.3 billion views on YouTube.
