Counterparts Celebrate ‘The Difference Between Hell And Home’ With Vinyl Reissue

Counterparts are marking ten years of their album The Difference Between Hell And Home with a long-awaited vinyl reissue. The album represents a huge moment in the band’s story, launching them into the echelons of emotional hardcore in a vicious style. Lightning-fast, utterly crushing and painstakingly heartfelt, it’s an album that still hits you square in the chest after all these years. From the dizzying intent of “Compass” to the raw reality of “Witness“, it’s a record that clings to you like tar and lingers long after it has faded away.

For the longest time, getting the album on vinyl was like bottling gold dust. But thanks to Craft Recordings, there are now a plethora of options available. As well as classic black, you can also get your hands on Iridescent Blue, Metallic Copper, Sky Blue Marble and Spring Green. You can pre-order your copy now from right here.

Vocalist Brendan Murphy has reflected on the record a decade on, stating:

“I feel like The Difference Between Hell and Home was the first of our records where we actually came into our own and had a solid grasp on whatever it was that Counterparts was supposed to be. I consider it the first REAL Counterparts album and since it’s been out of print for a while, I’m excited to be able to give people another chance to own a physical copy…even though you were late to the party and I hate your guts for not loving us right away, I’ll gladly take your money now. Enjoy, losers. Love you.”
