Known mostly for his work in Bayside, Anthony Raneri has many talents when it comes to music. Alongside the release of his latest single, “Bones,” featuring Sam Tinnesz, Raneri announced the release date for his upcoming alt-country EP Everyday Royalty

Speaking about the upcoming record, Raneri says that making the EP allowed him to remember what it was like when he first started making music.

“Most of this record came from getting into a room with friends and working on songs for fun, then walking out with a lot of cool material without really even planning on it,” he says. “It reminded me of when I first started out and everything was 100% DIY—I was just doing what felt exciting, with absolutely no rules.”

With the release of “Bones,” Raneri gives fans a taste of what to expect from the rest of the EP. The instrumentation slowly builds to include beating drums and subtle bass to enhance the raw feeling of the song. Built on a rich acoustic guitar foundation, Raneri delivers potent lines about his “spirit and soul” with a rough twinge in his voice. As the song launches an introspective chorus, listeners feel an overwhelming sense of catharsis when Raneri sings, “In my bones, in my bones/There’s a lot we don’t know/Can a man torn in half ever find his way home?/Searching for the answers/The trail keeps getting cold/In my bones.”
