After inking a deal with Hopeless Records earlier this month, Australian metalcore darlings Melrose Avenue has unleashed a larger-than-life remix of their single “Fool And The Beggar.”
Ahead of the remix’s release, Melrose Avenue—composed of powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Vlado Saric, guitarist Mitchell Black, drummer Jed McIntosh, and guitarist and supporting vocalist Shawn ‘Red Curl’ Mayer—chatted with idobi Radio while attending the Hopeless Records 30th Anniversary celebration at the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, NV. There, they reflected on their journey leading up to this latest release and what fans can expect from the band’s future under the new label.
“We’re really excited and congrats to Hopeless Records on their anniversary,” the band shares. “It’s a dream come true to work with them. Lots of new music coming your way—I don’t have a date yet, but it’s coming very soon. We’re looking forward to showing everyone our new music. It’s coming around the corner.”

They continue when describing their sound, “It’s got a bit of a heavier tinge. It’s got a lighter tinge in some songs. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by the new sound. It’s a lot bigger. It’s a lot better. And we’re just super excited to show it all to everybody.”
This updated version delivers on the band’s promise of being ‘bigger, louder, and better than ever,’ as they teased on Instagram. Originally launched in December 2023, “Fool And The Beggar” quickly garnered attention for its raw energy and emotional depth, skyrocketing to more than a million streams on Spotify. This reimagined version elevates the track to new heights, blending refined production with Melrose Avenue’s signature sound—one that combines fierce instrumentals with anthemic, heartfelt vocals.
