Following their headlining sets at Riot Fest and All Your Friends Fest, Fall Out Boy took over the stage of When We Were Young Fest 2024. Wiz Khalifa has signed on to play the personification of Death in Apple TV’s “Dickinson”. The addition of Khalifa was a dream for creator Alena Smith who thought he fit the role perfectly for how they wanted to portray Death. “I wanted Death to be the coolest guy in the world because Emily is in love with Death,” Smith said. “Part of the story of the season is about her coming to a more realistic and mature understanding of Death, but where she begins is a kind of Goth worship of death. This week I have drummer “Manny The Drummer.” I met him in 2015 when he was in a band called Ghost Town, and since his departure, he’s been scoring movies and has played with the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Ashlee Simpson, and even did a track for P. On their second day of headlining When We Were Young Fest, Fall Out Boy performed a variety of fan-favorite tracks spanning their entire discography. On day one, October 19, the band invited up special guest Wiz Khalifa for a special performance of “See You Again.” Then, on day two, October 20, the band invited up Travie McCoy to sing “Cupid’s Chokehold.” The Gym Class Heroes song originally featured Patrick Stump‘s vocals on the chorus. The record will feature a second collaboration with MGK (formerly Machine Gun Kelly).
