Photo: Incubus by Brian Bowen Smith Fresh off their 20th Anniversary Tour for the massively successful Make Yourself album — which, by the way, had hit after hit after hit. (Go listen to “Drive” now and feel 15 again.) INCUBUS have announced an upcoming co-headline tour with 311 and Badflower. Pretty much it’s going to be incredible. Incubus and 311? Together? 311 has so many hits besides “Amber” (which I personally couldn’t really stand that song, probably because it was played endlessly on Z100). 311 celebrating 30 years as a band which is crazy. Brandon Boyd admits he wasn’t too sharp when he packed a knife in his luggage before attempting to board an airplane. The Incubus frontman pleaded guilty in New York’s Queens County Court on Monday to criminal possession of a weapon, according to a spokesperson for the district attorney’s office. Boyd was ordered to pay a fine of $250. The charge stems from Boyd’s arrest on October 6, when a screener at LaGuardia Airport found a switchblade knife in Boyd’s carry-on bag as he tried to catch a flight to Raleigh, North Carolina. From the beginning, Boyd has insisted that he… Read more »

With his seventh album, When the Sun Goes Down, country singer Kenny Chesney will mosey on toward the late-afternoon, orange-hued horizon with a #1 under his belt. The LP sold more than 550,000 copies last week, according to SoundScan. The top-notch placement on the Billboard albums chart makes it two in a row for Chesney, whose last #1 album, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems, a 3-million seller at #81 next week, counted more than 235,000 in first-week sales. A Crow Left of the Murder, Incubus’ fifth album, will take second place with more than 331,000 copies sold, the California… Read more »
