Singles Lost in Time: Bedlight for Blue Eyes + Incubus

Hello and welcome to Singles Lost in TimeFALL IN LOVE EDITION, where we dig through our library here at idobi (like monks sifting through historical texts) and we dust off some romantic bangers that never got their proper time in the sun.

Bedlight for Blue Eyes – “Midnight Symphony”

“Midnight Symphony” by Bedlight for Blue Eyes is a rarity. On the first listen, it is apparent that vocalist Christian A Guerrero’s passionate voice sets the song on fire, but it’s on the follow-up listens that you realize none of the band members took a day off for this track. Bass, drums, guitar—everyone took “Midnight Symphony” as an opportunity to prove their zealotry to the one universal truth: Love!

Incubus – “Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song)”

Brandon Boyd didn’t become an alt-rock heartthrob just for his stunning good looks. Incubus has a long history of employing his romantic lyrics, going as far back as “Summer Romance (Anti-Gravity Love Song)” off their debut full-length album S.C.I.E.N.C.E. The song is a funky farewell to the end of summer, the music evokes crisp winds cooling off hot summer nights as the world straddles seasons. The potential inherent to transitional phases makes “Summer Romance” one of our favorite songs to FALL in love to!
