idobi had the chance to sit down with Forrest Kline of Hellogoodbye at a one-off show in New York City on November 29th. Kline talked about the band’s change in sound, signing to Old Friends Records, and future plans.

It’s a pretty beginning of a fall afternoon when I meet up with Bryce Avery, better known as The Rocket Summer at a park in Los Angeles. Even if you’re convinced that a band changing their sound is the worst thing that’s ever happened to you, it’s perfectly natural for someone’s music to develop and shift from album to album. But every once in a while, those shifts are so dramatic that the early work ends up sounding like it was released by an entirely different band than the more recent material.
A Great Big Pile of Leaves have released a music video for the track “Snack Attack”. The song stems off the album You’re Always On My Mind, released earlier this year on Topshelf Records.
Old Friends Records has signed Hellogoodbye. The band is currently in the studio with multi-Grammy Award winning producer Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Strokes), recording a new full-length studio album slated for an April 2013 release.
