At first glance, the thought of setting emo bangers to orchestral strings doesn’t sound real. Celebrating their current tour with Emo Orchestra, the new version paints Hawthorne Heights’ authentically emo-punk sound in a new and… Read more »

The Lostprophets titled their second album Start Something for two reasons. One was to motivate people out of complacency. “We spent the last three years touring and meeting loads of people who were like, ‘I’d love to do this and that,’ but they never had the drive to get up off their asses and do it,” explained singer Ian Watkins. “Start something. Start anything.” The title’s other meaning reflects the band’s feeling that Start Something is their first musical step, despite releasing their debut album three years ago. They’re neither trying to ignore 2001’s The Fake Sound of Progress nor… Read more »
Liquid Death is back at it again. The tongue-in-cheek water brand, known for its creative marketing strategies, just dropped the compilation of the summer. Greatest Hates Volume 3 is a 10-track collection of bangers with lyrics written entirely by the company’s internet haters. Juxtaposing their negative comments with 80s-inspired arrangements, the record is just as danceable as it is hilarious. Marking Liquid Death’s third Greatest Hates compilation record, the brand invited artists such as Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, Frank Iero of My Chemical Romance, and Kayleigh Goldsworthy to bring their hate comments to life through song. Skateboarding icon Tony… Read more »
