The Irish singer/songwriter, Foy Vance has announced today he will be embarking on a lengthy tour in support of the 10 year anniversary of his album The Joy Of Nothing. The album boast the extremely popular track, “Guiding Light“, which featured Ed Sheeran himself. In 2015, Foy Vance became Ed Sheeran’s second signing to his label Gingerbread Man Records and he has subsequently released two acclaimed studio albums, The Wild Swan (2016) and Signs Of Life (2021). Cam’ron, Nate Dogg and Mobb Deep’s Prodigy are among the guests on Snoop Dogg Presents Doggy Style All Stars’ Welcome to tha House, Vol. 1, the D-O-double G’s first album with MCA Records. Due August 13, the collection was executive produced by Snoop and showcases his Doggy Style All Stars, which includes himself, Soopafly, LaToiya Williams, Mr. Kane and E-White. Spending several years away from the limelight has not changed the Prodigy. It took only one broadcast of their new single and the band that sparked debate with “Smack My Bitch Up” is already stirring up controversy. “Baby’s Got a Temper,” which debuted on Britain’s Radio 1 Thursday night, was heavily edited by the station because of the track’s many references to Rohypnol, a tranquilizer that causes muscle relaxation and memory loss and is often called the “date rape drug.” The song, which the Prodigy performed at last month’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, features Keith Flint singing lyrics… Read more »
Prodigy will be playing four European shows in August. Prodigy are currently in the studio working on new material for their fourth album, to be released on Maverick Recording Co. Maverick anticipates an early 2002 release date. Prodigy’s 1997 release, “Fat of the Land”, entered the Billboard Album Chart at #1 and went on to sell two and a half million copies in the U.S. and over seven million copies worldwide. With hits like, “Firestarter,” “Smack My B**** Up” and “Breathe,” the band received major radio airplay and MTV exposure. After several reports via Rolling Stone and TMZ alleging that Green Day, Post Malone, and Lady Gaga would headline Coachella in 2025, the lineup has been revealed. And what do you know? Green Day, Post Malone, and Lady Gaga will headline. The festival will take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, on the second and third weekends of April 2025, April 11-13 and April 18-20, respectively. There’s one drawback to Blink-182’s decision to release “I Miss You” as their next single. “This is the thing, the song’s really hard to play,” singer/guitarist Tom DeLonge said backstage at KROQ-FM’s annual Almost Acoustic Christmas on Sunday. “We’ve never played it before. We might play it in the future, or we might have it on a ghetto blaster onstage and we might do an interpretive dance.
