Fresh off of the second leg of the So Much For (Tour) Dust run, Fall Out Boy drummer Andy Hurley heads to the late-night TV circuit. Well, kinda. He’s joining Late Night With Seth Meyers’ 8G Band this week. He’ll play through each segment led by comedian Fred Armisen. The announcement came via Instagram yesterday, April 8. Sevendust has returned with their first new single, “Everything.” The latest release is the second single from the group’s forthcoming 14th full-length album, Truth Killer, following “Fence.” Both tracks set the tone for what promises to be an explosive record. For their current single, “Enemy,” Sevendust have taken a couple of cues from hip-hop. They’ve half-rapped the verse, and they’ve put their beef with another musician on wax. The song is a diatribe directed toward ex-Coal Chamber frontman Dez Fafara, who is currently in the band Devildriver. “Enemy” was written and largely sung by drummer Morgan Rose, whose wife is former Coal Chamber bassist Rayna Foss-Rose. Now that their onstage cred is firmly established, Sevendust are looking to branch out beyond performance-based videos. The group shot two conceptual videos late last month in Toronto with director Noble Jones, who has previously worked with Roland Gift and Default. Sevendust’s third album, Animosity, is set for release on Tuesday (November 13). The album was in the works long before the September 11 terrorist attacks and the subsequent war on terrorism.
